Note that all 8U–14U teams that have been approved for the 2017 NOBF season must register with (AA Division), and purchase insurance through, USSSA ( to participate in the upcoming season. All approved 2017 15U/16U NOBF teams must purchase insurance through K&K Insurance (AABC section: for the upcoming season. Also note that teams MUST be insured when holding practices or tryouts during the off-season.


Effective Jan. 1, 2018, ALL bats used in AABC, Babe Ruth, Cal Ripken, Dixie Youth, Little League and Pony Baseball sanctioned events MUST have the new USABat licensing mark clearly visible (these new bats are scheduled to be available 9-1-17). For more info visit: For 2018, NOBF will allow the USABat as well as the USSSA approved bats bearing the USSSA BPF 1.15 “thumb print” stamp to be used for the 8U through 13U divisions league games (14U and 16U divisions use HS bat rules). It is our understanding that USSSA also will allow the use of both types of bats. NOTE that it is EACH TEAM’S RESPONSIBILITY to access, review and adhere to individual rules regarding specific tournament and post-season competition.
